WHY CITRUS ESSENTIAL OILS (ORANGE, LEMON, LIME, ETC.) DON'T WORK WELL IN DIFFUSION?
This is due to their manufacturing process. Citrus oils are obtained by pressing their zest (much like olive oil which is obtained by a pressing process). They are very volatile and evaporate very quickly.
Citrus oils differ from oils obtained by a distillation process which makes it possible to extract concentrates from plants, flowers, branches, leaves to obtain essential oils that are truly effective in diffusion.
Therefore, citrus oils (used alone) are not effective in diffusion. However, they can be mixed with essential oils obtained by distillation for better results.
IMPORTANT
CITRUS ESSENTIAL OILS ''USED ALONE'' ARE NOT RECOMMENDED AS THEY EVAPORATE TOO QUICKLY! OUR OILS ARE COMPLEX AND THEREFORE, GROUPS A SET OF ESSENTIAL OILS AND LAST LONG.
